Service Description

Cryotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment used to safely remove a range of benign skin lesions by freezing the affected tissue. We use Cryopen O, an advanced medical cryotherapy device that allows for exceptional precision and control. CryoPen O delivers high-presure nitrous oxide directly to the lesion, causing controlled destruction of the targeted cells while preserving the surrounding skin. This results in effective treatment with minimal discomfort and faster healing. Cryotherapy can be used to remove skin tags, age spots, cherry angiomas (blood blisters), seborrhoeic keratoses, warts and verrucas, *moles, and pigmentation spots. A full consultation and skin assessment will be carried out prior to treatment to ensure suitability for treatment, but otherwise treatment can be carried out within the same appointment. Treatment typically takes seconds per lesion and does not require anaesthetic. The treated area may darken, blister and scab before naturally healing over a few weeks. This service has been introduced to improve accessibility for those who: Have mobility difficulties Prefer additional privacy Find attending clinic challenging for any reason All home visit treatments are carried out by experienced healthcare professionals, and the same careful assessment standards apply as they do within our clinic. If the environment is not clinically appropriate, treatment will not proceed. Not all lesions are suitable for treatment in a home setting. If there is any clinical uncertainty, treatment will not proceed and appropriate advice or referral will be given. Home visit call-out fee: £20 (within local area) Waived if total treatment cost exceeds £100 For areas outside our immediate radius (5miles), additional travel fees may apply.
