For this procedure, a small amount of botulinum toxin is injected above the lips at the sides of the nose to relax the 'Levator Labii Superioris' muscle. This muscle lifts the lip when you smile and so the aim of the injection is to relax this muscle, thereby dampening the lift. The results of this procedure can last around 3 months. If you are considering the above treatment, you must have first had a face-to-face consultation with a practitioner in clinic (alongside our prescriber). This will allow us to see you face-to-face, assess your skin and skin concerns, advise on the treatment options, establish your goals and prescribe the anti-wrinkle treatment, as these are prescription only medications.
